We are really excited about this premium update on our classic Utility Jacket.
Made in a medium weight, breathable dry waxed 100% organic cotton ripstop from Halley Stevenson, Scotland.
It's a naturally adaptive, weather resistant choice - perfect for changeable weather.
It's machine washable, flurocarbon free and is coated with Halley Stevenson's lightest and driest wax for a soft aged appearance.
We love this version of HS's wax fabric, the coating of dry wax means it is shower and wind resistant, whilst being their most naturally breathable wax. Naturally adaptive, the wax adjusts to ambient temperature, becoming softer and more breathable in warm weather and stiffer and more wind proof in cold conditions.
Like all Hawksmill products it is designed to last and age beautifully. The beauty of waxed cotton is its durability and longevity — it is built to last. The densely woven cotton is strong and reliable and can be maintained by the end user. It can be re-proofed to keep up performance and protection levels, ensuring it lasts for many years. Responsibly sourced organic cotton and low impact manufacturing make this a sustainable choice.
These jackets can be washed in the machine and even gently ironed. The wax naturally picks up marks and creases through use, which adds to the character of the fabric itself. Take a look at Haley Stevenson's video to see the fabric up close.
The fit remains as our classic Mk I Utility Jacket, this updated version features outer and inner chest pockets and two large double front pockets. Please check our size guide for actual measurements.
