Hawksmill Denim Co is a British-based premium denim brand, founded in 2015 to make the best jeans possible.
Hawksmill source the world's best denims from the most renowned and respected denim mills. We specialise in Japanese selvedge, organic denim and real natural indigo dyes.
We use traditional jean manufacturing techniques and vintage machines for authentic and durable jeans that will last and improve with wear.
Our two iconic and best selling jean shapes are Loose Taper and Slim Taper, and new for 2025 is a Loose Fit shape, our most relaxed and widest cut. Every garment we make has sustainability in mind, and every element is designed to make them durable and get better with age.
We only use 100% natural fibres for multiple reasons, including sustainability, durability and aesthetic reasons. A well fitting pair of jeans that you break in will fit to your body and plastic-based artificial stretch is not required.
Our jeans are made slowly and with care by traditional denim craftspeople with meticulous attention to detail. All our jeans are made using Hawksmill's own vintage Union Special machines and historical construction methods. This results in a product which is built to last, combining functionality and character. We work with a small family run factory in Portugal that has exclusively made jeans for decades, making them some of the most knowledgable and skilled jean-makers in the world. Hawksmill co-founder Tony Smith has been a production manager and consultant for some of the most famous luxury heritage and street wear brands for nearly 30 years so we never compromise on standards.
Denim is a timeless fabric which if worn from its raw state will develop its own character and patina unique to the wearer. No two pairs will ever look the same. As each jean develops particular fades, abrasions, creasing and whiskering, the story of each wearer is indelibly recorded on each pair. Therefore we only sell our jeans raw, either sanforized or rinse washed so that you can be sure there will be minimal shrinkage when you wash them. Raw denim will last longer than jeans that have been treated to make them look worn.
